Teaching Behavioural Finance With a Purpose
As part of the ANA International Men's Day Celebration (#IMD2024) Forum, Oliver explored the intersection of behavioural finance and neuroscience, focusing on how male students can tie their values to their actions and behaviours. Through examining the neural mechanisms underlying decision-making and self-regulation, he delved into practical assignments that help students assess and align their financial behaviours with their core values. This session was aimed at equipping educators with tools to foster self-awareness and intentionality in financial decision-making, such that students can live in alignment with their values. Attendees gained insights into effectively integrating neuroscience principles into behavioural finance education for applied know-how.
