A Bit About Aneta

Independent Researcher, Speaker, Entrepreneur

Aneta is an Applied Neuroscientists, Researcher and Entrepreneur, with a diverse academic background encompassing applied neuroscience, political science, economics, advocacy and therapeutic work. She has a keen interest in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics and pain perception, the impact of nutrition on brain health, memory enhancement beyond the brain and body, and movement disorders associated with Parkinson's disease.

Aneta co-founded a start-up focused on bringing actionable solutions to the lives of Parkinson's sufferers and their carers. This work involved developing innovative, evidence-based tools and resources that draw on neuroscience, technology, and human-centred design to improve quality of life, enhance daily functioning, and provide practical support for managing the challenges of Parkinson’s disease for both sufferers and their carers.

Today her focus is investigating movement and perception disorders, such as Parkinson's, Huntington's, and Synesthesia, focusing on cases with complex or unclear neurological origins for people struggling with seeking causation and support in the traditional medical system. Rather than providing direct treatment, Aneta works together with her clients to develop and apply tailored protocols, exploring a range of possible approaches for managing each individual's unique needs, circumstances and contexts.

In May 2023, Aneta participated as a speaker at the "Thanks For The Memories" Pint of Science Event in collaboration with ANA. Her talk, titled "Beyond the Brain," explored the concept of augmenting cognition and memory through bodily, environmental, and social resources, challenging the notion that thinking is confined solely to the brain. Her work emphasises the importance of considering extra-neuronal factors in cognitive and emotional processes, advocating for holistic methods to address complex health challenges.

In March 2025, Aneta spoke during Brain Awareness Week for ANA's Lunchtime Brain Breaks Talk Series, 'Exploring the Neuroscience Behind Pain & Pain Management'. You can find the accompanying BLOG HERE and click on the YouTube Channel below for her Talk. ANA Applied Talks hosted the launch of 5 ANA Chapters across 5 cities on May 15th, including ANA Warsaw! In this Talk Aneta carried on the conversation about Pain, discussing modulation of pain by cognitive and emotional states as 'pain perception disrupters'.

Aneta's multidisciplinary approach integrates insights from applied neuroscience, psychology, anthropology, philosophy and social sciences to develop innovative strategies aimed at enhancing emotional and cognitive function and overall well-being. She bring evidence-based expertise and knowledge to the fore for anyone who is curious about their brain and how they might work with their brains and body for wellness and resilience. She welcomes connections especially where you have similar research passions!
